AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPER FELLOWSHIP
The Builder Coalition’s Affordable Housing Developer Fellowship (AHDF) convenes firms and individuals interested in pursuing private development of inclusive and affordable housing.
The program will run for a six month period, convening biweekly for 3-4 hour learning sessions. Each session's interactive modules will be led by subject-area experts. In addition, TBC will enlist two industry mentors for each participant, who will meet with the fellows at regular intervals during the fellowship period. The fellowship will culminate with each participating firm designing and presenting a proposed affordable housing development.
The program is sponsored by MassHousing and JPMorgan Chase.
INVESTMENT FINANCE FELLOWSHIP
The Builder Coalition’s Investment Finance Fellowship (IFF) convenes established real estate developers seeking to grow their capacities through group study of investment cases.
Each session centers around interactive discussion of a real estate investment case study, led by the instructor. Sessions feature 1-2 guest developers who offer their insights on the case, along with background on their own pathways and projects. Participants additionally select a live investment project of their own to analyze over the course of the program and to present during the final session utilizing tools and knowledge gained.
TBC recruits and selects participants based on development experience and interest in rigorous, group-based analysis of investment decisions. Participants are principals of their firm, or leading investment decision-makers.
“Since the fellowship, our pipeline has grown substantially through new opportunities and connections. Our involvement in RFPs and joint ventures has tripled within the last 6 months.”
